Drei Unternehmen, eine Lektion: Distribution
In the last 12 years, I've built three different companies. The first two failed because I was obsessed with the wrong part of the business.
The first was a software development agency. Great product, but we had nobody who could get it into the right hands. Distribution killed us. The second was a web store. The prices were never going to be competitive. Distribution killed us again.
With Gopf, I was building serious technology. We shipped feature after feature. Customers would see it and say "oh, nice, super cool." Then they wouldn't use it. We gave them a platform and expected them to find the value themselves.
First-time founders fall in love with the product. Second-time founders fall in love with the problem. Third-time founders figure out that none of it matters without distribution. I needed all three to learn that.
