Vom Hörsaal in den Verwaltungsrat
A few years ago, I started teaching data and AI at universities. After one lecture, someone invited me to speak at a private lunch. About 1.5 years later, he reached out. "I'm the CEO of an energy company near Zurich. We're looking for a new board member."
At that time, I wasn't even 30. I didn't understand the energy sector. But I said yes. Today, almost four years later, it's one of the most interesting roles I have.
Looking back, the biggest lesson was that you don't need to fully understand something before saying yes. Curiosity is often enough. The rest you figure out along the way.
